A Little History
Arise was born out of last year’s merger that involved 2 American companies; Sseko Designs LLC (USA) with Noonday Collection. This merger enabled Sseko Designs Uganda, to become independent. ARISE KOLLECTIONS LIMITED (Formerly Sseko Designs Uganda) became a majority Ugandan Female owned company.

Sseko Designs LLC (USA) was originally founded in 2009 to create employment for young adults to bridge the 9-month gap between high school and enrolling into University in Uganda.

As a social enterprise Arise manufactures and distributes high-end leather and textile fashion accessories such as handbags, footwear, jewelry, and hand-woven items. We are a socially conscious lifestyle brand that makes ethical products.

Arise also runs a Gap Year Program that trains Ugandan Youth during their S.6 vacation equipping them with life and hands on skills before they enroll into different institutes of higher learning.

Our name comes from Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. We had to rise out of the merger and spread the light of God through our manufacturing while creating opportunities for others.
